Winner of the Pritzker Prize in 1985, Hans Hollein broke with modernist functionalism. In 1967 he proclaimed: "Everything is architecture", and his productions manifest this desire to eliminate the boundaries between interior and exterior. In a perspective of dematerialization of architecture, he designed a Mobile Office (1969), inflatable and transportable, allowing a total immersion in the environment. By diversifying his practices, from collage to design and from architecture to exhibition scenography, Hollein took the discipline outside its framework.
